Embark on a journey to clean the waters of different biomes, cleaning up oil spills and floating packages, putting out fires and saving marine life. Your boat will be equipped with the best to help you in this task. Relax and embark on this adventure to save the environment.
MY IMPRESSIONS
A short and relaxing game with a worthy purpose. Spilled! is a typical comfort game that hooks you with its simple gameplay and beautiful graphics. In addition, the game raises awareness about how pollution impacts marine life in a light and gentle way. You have the option to buy upgrades for your boat, which make your life easier when cleaning the waters. In addition, as you progress through the game, you receive some different equipment that will help you with the cleaning. Don't be scared by the length of the game, it is really short, but that is far from being a flaw. Lente, the game's creator, put a lot of effort into Spilled! and, considering that it is only her first game created, you can see that she did everything with great care. In fact, as indicated on the Steam page, part of the proceeds from each game purchased goes to WDC (Whale and Dolphin Conservation), which makes the message conveyed by the game even more valuable.
ACHIEVEMENTS
The achievements in Spilled! are pretty easy to complete. Completely clear all the biomes, reach the end of the game, and you'll have pretty much all the achievements. The only achievement you should pay attention to so you don't miss is putting out a specific bonfire. With that, your 100% will be easily achieved.
CONCLUSION
Ever since I first saw Spilled!, I really wanted to play it, both for its gameplay and its visuals. After I learned a little more about the project, reading a little about Lente, the game gained even more value to me. And from the brief contact I had with the game's creator via email, I can see how much love she has for her creation. Regarding the game's length, it's no surprise to anyone, since the game's description on Steam says that the game lasts approximately 1 hour. Don't fall into the trap of saying that a short game isn't worth the price it's being sold for. This narrative has been forced by people who think they know something about video games. Video games are more than just paying for game time, but unfortunately, not everyone thinks that way. Spilled! is the consolidation of the work of someone who put a lot of effort into bringing something they love to life. And that's very noble.
