GAMEPLAY / VISUAL
From the very start, players are thrown into a frantic mission to rescue a princess, battling through floors in an intense climb to reach the game’s objectives. However, any mistake results in a complete reset, sending us back to the beginning.
The core gameplay revolves around a 10-second time limit to defeat all enemies. Each enemy eliminated grants additional time, keeping the pace fast and challenging.
One of the game's biggest highlights is its outstanding voice acting. Not only is it incredibly well done, but it also references iconic classics like Yu Yu Hakusho, further enriching the experience.
It’s always exciting to see a game with such a strong identity and unique characteristics. Mullet Madjack stands out as one of the best-executed Brazilian games of all time, featuring a striking visual style clearly inspired by Neo-Tokyo from Akira.
Moreover, the game presents a meta-narrative, almost like a “game within a game.” At any moment, players can pause to check what’s happening with their live stream, which is supposedly being broadcast in real-time during the gameplay. This adds an extra layer of originality to the experience, reinforcing its unique design.
The game also brings in nostalgic references that resonate with players worldwide. A great example is the inclusion of Tamagotchis, popularly known as virtual pets, a childhood staple for many. These small details make the game even more immersive, connecting players to their own nostalgic memories while they dive into its high-intensity action.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Mullet Madjack is a prime example of how achievements should be designed in video games. In an industry where many titles rely on repetitive and frustrating challenges—like “finish the game without dying” or “collect every single item on the map”—this game takes a more balanced and well-thought-out approach. The achievements are not impossible; some are challenging, but most are naturally obtained through gameplay.
We always emphasize this: achievements should be part of the experience, not an exhausting grind that demands 200 hours for a game that should be enjoyed at its own pace. The biggest difference in Mullet Madjack is that every achievement makes sense within the game—whether it’s related to specific game modes, settings, weapon upgrades, or strategic enemy eliminations.
Gamification should be considered from the beginning of development, not as an afterthought. Mullet Madjack demonstrates how to do this intelligently and engagingly, setting an example for other studios to follow.

RESUME
Some games appear only once in a generation, and Mullet Madjack is one of those rare gems. For Brazilian players, it’s a true delight, packed with culturally specific references in its voice acting. But its appeal extends far beyond, offering an exhilarating experience for international audiences as well. Without a doubt, it’s one of the most fun games I’ve ever played.
The voice acting is a standout feature, featuring legendary actors like Gilberto Baroli (Saga from Saint Seiya) and Luiz Feier Motta (Sylvester Stallone’s official Brazilian voice). And that’s just a glimpse—the entire cast is made up of icons of Brazilian dubbing, making every dialogue unforgettable.
Mullet Madjack was released recently, but it’s already one of the greatest Brazilian-developed games of all time. The developers nailed it, delivering an intense and engaging experience.
If there’s one thing I would have liked to see, it’s a bit more enemy variety throughout the game. Other than that, I have no complaints—I genuinely enjoyed everything about it. And if I had to describe this game in one word, it would be absurd—in the best way possible.
