Review: Let's School

Let's School is a management game in the best tycoon style, extremely similar to the new games by Two Point, where we take on the role of a school manager.

GAMEPLAY / VISUAL

An extremely meticulous game: that’s how I can define Let's School. It’s not a game that will hold your hand and lead you to all the objectives; Let's School is focused, complex, and branched out. We manage every little piece of our school. Right at the beginning, we have a small customization of our "principal" and are placed in a dirty school with some debris that we need to eliminate, much like The Sims in its management mode.

Let's School draws a lot of inspiration from management games in the Theme Park style, such as the recent games by Two Point. However, don't think it's just another generic management game. Every little detail makes it unique in its genre, including its very characteristic art, which references anime and Japanese culture. Each student in Let's School has their own personality and demands, making the game quite complex to handle.

To solve a problem, various solutions are needed. For example, helping a student be satisfied enough in all academic aspects so that they can do well in their classes. This includes their mood, health, hunger, happiness, and many other aspects, creating a unique challenge for us.

ACHIEVEMENTS

The achievements are very well crafted and involve objectives that we accomplish during the management of our school. They include goals like giving a speech or getting good grades with the students. I would say that the achievements part, in most management games, is something that companies rarely get wrong in this regard.

CONCLUSÃO

Let's School is undoubtedly an incredible management game. However, in the console version tested, I must say that the game's interface leaves much to be desired, being somewhat unintuitive. Although it's challenging to demand this from a management game, I believe there could be some possibilities to facilitate its playability on consoles, such as an adaptation for keyboard and mouse, since all modern consoles support these peripherals.

There's a lot to do in Let's School; it is a complete game within its genre and offers extremely complex and enjoyable gameplay. I would say that the console version is more comprehensive than Two Point's own games, which focus on unnecessary diversifications. Let's School concentrates where it matters: on methods and students, and that is very good.
