Travel through different moments in time where myths and magic tell their story as you search for different lost items in Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic.
THE GAME
Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic is a hidden object game developed and distributed by Rogueside. The continuation of the fun Hidden Through Time brings us the theme of myths and magic through different moments in history, whether in more current times with students or with medieval battles between humans and goblins. Find all the objects, people and animals so the story can continue.
MY IMPRESSIONS
I had already had a lot of fun in the first game, so I already knew what to expect. A light and lively game, which, at times, makes you go crazy for not finding a measly item the size of a needle. Still, it is very satisfying to find the goals. The game is in Portuguese-Brazil, which helps when getting the tips for each object. The art style is still very happy and funny.
I confess that I missed something different from the first. Even though the mechanics of two different climates were implemented on each map so that some objects can be found exclusively on each one, I thought this was not a great addition to the game. Furthermore, the implementation of special items that unlock a final map is interesting, but not very inspiring. After all, after finding everyone, the map that is released is very easy, which doesn't seem to be that rewarding.
Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic, as a sequel, brings more of the same, albeit with changes, but these new additions make little difference. Maybe in the future they will implement more phases, because I felt that the game is short. If it follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, we can expect DLCs.
ACHIEVEMENTS
The achievements are very simple: find all the objects in all the stages, including the special objects that unlock an extra stage. To complete, create levels, play and evaluate other players' levels. Without much secret, simple and easy to achieve 100% of the achievements.
CONCLUSION
As I have a lot of fun with this style of game of looking for things on extremely chaotic maps, I loved playing Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic, but I was disappointed with the new additions, as they had little impact on the game. I dare say that if it were a DLC for the first one, no one would even notice. However, this fact doesn't ruin the game, it just disappoints if you're expecting something very different.
If you liked the first game in the series, played all the DLCs and still want more, Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic is there to welcome those who want to look for more things out there. Simple and relaxing fun, without pressure and will be a great pastime.
