THE GAME
Enshrouded is a survival RPG developed and distributed by Keen Games. After a plague takes over the world because of the ancestors' greed for magical power, the kingdom of Embervale is destroyed. In the role of Flameborn, the last hope for this world, you need to defeat creatures and survive in this world, so that there is a future for the kingdom. Build your base, recruit allies, and make the Ancestral Flame shine brighter.
MY IMPRESSIONS
The world presented in Enshrouded is quite mysterious and vast. With simple gameplay, but full of variety, we explore this new world in survival mode. When you establish your base, you can build houses and customize everything, having the possibility of creating incredible and well-decorated buildings, as the game offers you good options for materials and objects. Nature provides essential raw materials for creating items such as weapons and armor. Additionally, you can explore ruins and defeat enemies, which also grant important resources.
You will have several missions and points of interest across the map to explore and delve into the story, as well as books and letters that you find on your explorations. The game is in Portuguese-Brazil, which is great for those who want to understand more about this world. The fog that plagues the kingdom has creatures that live there, being one of the biggest threats in the game. You can only stay there for a specific time, as the fog is deadly.
The battles are simple, but require strategy, as there are different types of weapons and ways to use them. Its skill tree is vast and allows you to mix different styles to suit your way of playing. Want to make a tank mage? He can! A healer archer? Can also! The way the game gives you freedom to be creative, whether in buildings or skills, is a strong point and certainly attracts a lot of attention.
ACHIEVEMENTS
As it is an open-world RPG game, many achievements are linked to these two aspects, that is, level up, explore every corner of the world and interact with everything possible. There is not much secret to doing 100%, basically, enjoy the game, naturally you will complete all the achievements.
CONCLUSION
I was surprised by Enshrouded. It was completely off my radar, but it soon caught my attention. Despite the feeling of simplicity it gives me, the game is very competent in what it sets out to do. Building your base is incredibly satisfying, with all the possibilities offered to you. I don't know if it's on purpose, but whenever I re-enter my world to play, all the natural resources return, that is, if I cut down a tree, it will be there again the next time I enter the game, as will the enemies. . On the one hand, it's great, because I don't have to look for resources, on the other hand, it seems like it wasn't supposed to be like this. A few tweaks to the game and it will get even better.
I haven't tested the multiplayer mode, but it seems to me that this factor only improves the game even more, since each player can create a character to meet the group's needs, in addition, of course, to making all the exploration and combat much more fun. Enshrouded has everything it needs to be that game that surprises those who play it and has enormous potential to be a great RPG to play with friends.
