A nice quiz multiplayer game.
THE GAME
Brain Show is a multiplayer quiz game developed and distributed by Simplicity Games. In this crazy quiz game, you and your friends compete in a television show to find out who knows more about the different topics that will be presented to you. But don't think it's just questions and answers. The games will come with challenges, like hot potato or who responds faster. Chaos will ensue and the fight for points can make you hate your friends for it, but in the end, the fun is what counts.
MY IMPRESSIONS
Brain Show is meant to be a fun game and it does it well. With all its simplicity, both in gameplay and in its graphics, you'll have fun with your friends for sure. I didn't have the opportunity to play with many people, but the game supports up to eight players, which must make everything much more chaotic. Remembering that it is only available for local co-op.
Currently, the game has 13 types of rounds, with more than 5000 questions distributed in 41 categories. The game does not have subtitles in Portuguese-Brazil, which will make it very difficult to understand the questions and answers. If you don't have that friend to help you with the translation, the game loses all its fun.
The animations, although simple, make the characters come to life. In particular, the presenter had 27 cups of coffee and went to introduce the program, because the guy seems to be plugged in.
Overall, it's a fun game, but keep in mind that it won't be anything more than that: a game to have a laugh with friends. And cause fights between you.
ACHIEVEMENTS
The game does not have achievements, unfortunately. I believe that including some achievements in Brain Show would give the game more flavor. There are many possibilities, I hope that one day they will explore them.
CONCLUSION
I had a lot of fun playing Brain Show. It's not a game masterpiece, but it's fun and it doesn't need to be more than that. Having only local co-op somewhat restricts your possibilities. Have friends? Excellent! It does not have? Well, this game is not for you.
The questions are at a good level, I didn't find any very culture specific. Many times I made a mistake because I wanted to respond quickly and ended up not reading properly. The language barrier can get in the way a little. The menus and controls also had some unresponsiveness, which was a little frustrating.
The impression that remains is that Brain Show could be more, with some customizations, such as, for example, which games you want to play or how many rounds. The game can evolve further and improve in many points to make it more attractive. I hope the developers see it the same way I do.
