Review: Bem Feito

What if someone found a game that was lost over time and made it available to everyone? What if, perhaps, he was lost for some obscure reason? This is what we will see in Bem Feito.

THE GAME

Bem Feito is a mystery and horror game developed by oiCabie and distributed by QUByte Interactive. Thanks to an emulator, we have access to the game Bem Feito, originally released for a portable console called Jogaroto. In the game in question, we control Reginaldo, a friendly little boy who lives on planet B-613. His goal is to complete his daily tasks and meet new friends, but some things seem strange. It's up to you to discover the mysteries that surround the game Bem Feito. Remember: your choices make a difference.

MY IMPRESSIONS

Do you know the term creepypasta? Those internet horror stories involving real facts and popular imagination to create scary theories and tales. So, Well Done is basically a playable creepypasta. The story itself told in the game files gives a reason for no one to remember this game, which never really existed, which ends up being a good idea on the part of the developer. In fact, the story behind the fictional game is well developed and full of mysterious facts, unlike Bem Feito itself, which is very simple. Because it is made and distributed by Brazilians, the game is in Portuguese-Brazil, which is great for understanding the game's history and some terms make more sense to us, such as Jogaroto and AmiGo, alluding to the Gameboy and Amiibo, respectively.

Without saying much about the game, which is actually quite short, you live the days of little Reginaldo and make your choices, which will have an impact at the end of the game. I don't know how to say this without ruining the surprise, but things could get pretty bloody. All the suspense that the game goes through when reaching the endings or exploring the archives is good, but it could be better. I wish it had more bizarreness, more terror and more hidden secrets. It seemed very basic to me. I liked the art and the soundtrack, combining cute things with a dark background makes everything more tense and terrifying, as you never know what could happen.

ACHIEVEMENTS

The achievements of Bem Feito are quite simple. Complete the game by doing both possible endings and you will have already completed most of the achievements. Also, when you complete some of them, you will receive four numbers, which are the passwords to open the files in the folders. Finally, some specific actions are required for the remaining achievements, nothing too complicated. A very calm game for achievement hunters.

CONCLUSION

I like the idea of the game being a playable creepypasta, but I wish it had more content. More secrets, more endings, more ways to interact with things. The game has a lot of suspense and horror elements, especially in the files and photos that you discover, but it would be much more interesting to have more of this feature, even as it is a short game, this would add more charm.

Like any good Brazilian game, I recommend you play it, because, as the name of the game says, it is well done. And made with care, which is most important. A game that makes you suspicious at all times, it almost bothers you, but in a good way for what it proposes. And it also poses some interesting moral dilemmas. A great way to test your sanity.
