Review: A Little To The Left - Cupboards & Drawers DLC

Who doesn't have that mess drawer, right? Well, in A Little to the Left: Cupboards & Drawers say goodbye to that mess.

THE GAME

A Little To The Left is a puzzle game developed by Max Inferno and distributed by Secret Mode. Following the idea of the base game, the Cupboards & Drawers DLC adds more object organization puzzles, on a cupboards and drawers theme, as the name of the DLC indicates. With some different mechanics, Cupboards & Drawers brings new challenges for those who played the base game and asked for more.

MY IMPRESSIONS

So as not to repeat myself, I will only focus on the DLC, as we already have an analysis of the base game here on the site, which you can check out here.

Keeping the aesthetic standard, Cupboards & Drawers brings the spirit of the base game, bringing more puzzles with a reasonable level of difficulty, as I feel that the idea is more to be pleasant than challenging. The game does not have subtitles in Portuguese-Brazil, however, this does not interfere with its gameplay.

When I finished the game, I was left with the impression that something was missing. It was really fast but fun. I don't know if the idea is to release several themed DLCs for the base game, but if that's the intention, I don't think I like the idea very much.

You won't escape tidying up closets like in real life.

ACHIEVEMENTS

The DLC adds achievements to the base game, so keep that in mind if you want to 100% complete the game. Despite this, the amount added is not that great, nor is it difficult. In addition to having to complete all the levels and solve them in every possible way, there are still achievements linked to specific actions, but which are not complicated to perform.

Sometimes it's not as easy as it seems.

CONCLUSION

A Little To The Left: Cupboards & Drawers maintains the quality, adding more life to the game. This is a better way to keep players playing, rather than exhausting and uninspiring daily challenges. Better, but not ideal, because if the idea is to release several themed DLCs, then the game completely loses me.

Thinking about the Brazilian reality, Cupboards & Drawers costs half the base game, which adds something around an hour of gameplay, perhaps. I know that the prices aren't the developers' fault and I don't even know if they're really going to release other DLCs, but this whole idea makes me a little wary.

I had fun playing it, because the game itself is fun, but when I finished it, I wanted more. And maybe that's A Little To The Left's biggest flaw: it's so fun to play, but it ends too quickly. So, for those who played the base game and want more, Cupboards & Drawers is there to satisfy your cravings, even if this one also ends quickly.
